Happy Birthday Daddy
Happy Birthday Daddy!!!
Thirteen Reasons why we love Daddy.
1. He has a job, we can buy temptations.
2. He loves us lots, we get hugs and lovings from him daily.
3. He loves the young beans, even though they can be a pain once in a while.
4. He wanted a yellow tabby, if he hadn't wanted a kitty, we would never have been allowed to live with the beans.
5. He helps Mommie take care of us. Gives us meds and such.
6. He has a wonderful lap for us to snuggle on.
7. He leaves his socks out for me to lay on..Monte.
8. He brings home boxes sometimes.
9. He allows Mommie to stay home wif us, doesn't make her go looking for a job.
10. He doesn't mind if we sleep wif Mommie and him.
11. He likes for me to wake him up of a morning...Munchkin
12. He loves Mommies parents lots, who can't help but love them.
And last but not least,
13. He loves Mommie, she is the best...Monte, Missy and Munchkin

See. Begging does pay off.
I am laughing because I finally got a real box. Mommie gotted the first two stages of the Barton Reading/Spelling Program for the Bean Boy and I got the box. Yeah for me.
I also have to laugh because our 2000th visitor was someone doing a search for neuticals. What a wonderful wacky world we live in.
The Cyclone Cats were our 1999th visitor, so they will receive a catnip mouse.

Begging for Votes
Please go over here and vote for Missy's red carpet photo, and here to vote for her movie. We have just learned that to be a finalist you have to have several comments. We do not like to beg for votes however it looks like we are going to have to.
Monte is also requesting your votes for him. He is a very shy cat and usually does not beg for anything but love and attention, he has decided to set this aside and beg for comments. Here is the link to vote for him.
We would like to thank everyone for your votes in advance.

My Box
Munchkin decided since he hadn't gotten a box, he would just take over the aquarium that the Daddy Bean emptied. As you can see he has his loop-de-loop in there. Neither Monte or Missy will even attempt to get into HIS box. He will lay down and take a nap in there every so often.

7 Wonders of the World
A group of children were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one student had not finished her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list. The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have, and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then read, "I think the 'Seven Wonders of the World' are:
1. To see
2. To hear
3. To touch
4. To taste
5. To feel
6. To laugh
7. To love
The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. The things we overlook as simple and ordinary and that we take for granted are truly wondrous! A gentle reminder - that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.

Thursday Thirteen # 6
Thirteen Things you cannot do/have in a small town.
1. Go to wal-mart/target/etc, without driving over 30 miles, and still be in the same town.
2. Go to a movie, also without driving 30 miles.
3. Not know what is happening all over town.
4. Have 23, or more, students in your entire grade. ( I graduated with 18 in my class.)
5. Date someone who you are not related to, or know everything about, from diapers to dating.
6. Not know everything about your neighbor, or know someone who does know everything about them.
7. Have a wreak, and your mother not know about it before the police do.
8. Have a suprise party. It's bound to leak somehow.
9. A mall of some kind. (We miss shopping!!!)
10. Go out to eat, without seeing at least 10 people you know.
11. Get something in the mail that is packaged unsually and the postmaster not ask what it is.(Whirly-bird)
12. Let your kids ride their bikes around town, and not be told, before they get home, where they went and what they did, or who they were with.
13. And last but not least, rent a new release movie. They have usually been out for a couple of months before we get them at our local movie rental place.

Can I have a box?
I am mad, I asked Mommie to get me a box like Skeezix has and this is what she got me. I am insulted. What do you all think about this?
What's that Mommie? This isn't my box, it's a box to mail catnip mice in. Your not selling my catnip mouse are you, oh, the ones you are making? Then where is my box? You haven't gotten it yet? Could you get me one today, please?...Munchkin.

Update on Grannie and Munchkin
We want to thank you all for your purrayers and warm wishes for our Grannie and Munchkin.
Mommie said that Grannie is doing much better, no thanks to the doctor. Our Daddy bean had some medicine for his arthuritis and he gave Grannie some. She said yesturday that she felt so much better, and she even sounded better. Stupid Doctors.
Munchkin has been a very loving kitten since the day after his ho-ha-extomy. He will follow Mommie everywhere she goes and will take naps in her arms, he hasn't done that for a couple or three months. Mommie is so very happy about this.

The Day After
Sorry for the late posting, Mommies Dad called her early this morning saying that her Mother was not feeling well. Mommie went and spent most of the day with her, trying to get her in to see a doctor, to no avail. We have an appointment for next Wednesday to see a doctor that she has been trying to get her to go to. She is complaining of swelling in her hands and wrists. The joints in her hands hurt very badly. Her regular doctor did not want to see her and just called her in a prescription for a water pill!!! We are mortified, we don't think that it is just water retention, her feet are not swelling. Mommie said that her Mom made the comment that if she has to live with this kind of pain and useless hands, she wasn't going to live very long, she would quit taking her meds, she is a diabetic on insulin. Hopefully she will be able to get some relief soon. Sorry about not getting around to check on everyone else yet, maybe later, after the kids go to bed. Sorry for the rambling, on with the day after.
Munchkin slept in my arms for a short while last evening after the kids went to bed, so I guess he is not too mad at me. He has been very protective of his backside, which is hairless of course, sorry, I am not taking any pictures of that. He has been taking it easy for the most part, not tearing around the house like his butt is on fire, but has been fairly active. He made certain that Daddy got up for work, and came in asking me why I hadn't gotten up when my alarm went off. He was running a little bit of a fever this am, thanks to Forty Paws for pre-warning me so I was not worried.
This afternoon he seams to be getting back to himself a little more, still not tearing around the house just yet. The picture is of him setting in the window looking out to our front yard. He first thought that I was going to put him in the PTU, since it is still out, but I put him on top of it for him to look out the window. Guess I had better get back to fixing supper, I am making supper for all of us, and we are going to my Moms to eat it.

Munchkin is Really Mad Now
I picked Munchkin up from our friend at 4pm. During the trip home he was sitting close to the door of the PTU, getting closer to me, or so I thought. We got home at about 5 pm, and I took him to the water bowl and put a little water on his nose so that he would drink. I had to go get the young beans from my Mothers home, and we got back to the house around 6:30. Munchkin was hiding under my bed and would not come out. I got the Temptations and called the cats into the livingroom, Munchkin came and ate a couple of treats. I picked him up to love him like I usually do and he growled at me. I put him on the computer desk to give him more treats, and I got a quick look at his backside. He is shaved, and I am certain quite sore. He would not eat any more treats for me and jumped down. He is laying close to me, but far enough away to let me know that he is not happy wif me at all. I just spoke to him and he got up and moved away. He also got all of his shots, so he really is mad. I feel so sorry for him.

Power Color Quiz
Update: Munchkin arrived at the Vet at around 9am. I will be able to pick him up at around 4pm. He will have an hours drive before we get home. Therefore we will not be able to inform any of you on his progress until later this evening.
He was scared during the ride, but very quite, especially since this was his very first car ride. He layed in his PTU, facing me, the whole time. We will update as soon as we can.

I know the BIG secret!!!
Munchkin here. I heard about the big secret. I AM MAD. I do not want a ho-ha-extomy. I want to keep my toys. Yes, its true I have been having urges, but so has Skeezix and I don't hear anyone complaining about him.
I am going to hide in the morning and not come out where Mommie can put me in the PTU, that she borrowed from her brother. I also heard that she is going to put the food and water away tonight where I can not eat anything after 10pm, what she doesn't know is, I have a stash of crunchies.
If I do give in to her calling me in the morning, is there anyone out there whom I can transport too? Can anyone help me? I have an idea, how bout those neuticals everyone is talking about, would someone out there buy me some? That way Monte won't know that I lost my real ones, and I can still claim to be "el naturel", sort of. How can you not help a cute little guy like me?

We have a Pinewood Derby Winner
Daniel won the Cub Scout Pinewood Derby race for Pack 155, Sayre Oklahoma. As you can see he is quite proud of himself. He is holding his first place trophy and his winning car. He and his father built his car together.
He has two pins on his right pocket, one is for winning first place in the Cub Scout Boat Regatta last fall, and the other he received last night for winning first place in the Pinewood Derby, along with the trophy.
