Thursday Thirteen
First of all I want to thank each and everyone for their warm thoughts and purrayers for our Mommies hands. She mowed her Mom's yard on Friday and Saturday of last week (5 acres) and if she uses her hands too much they swell. They have just started doing this since last June and she doesn't know what has made them start doing this. Swell and itch and hurt, not fun. Anyway she is better now.
Mommies Mom has let us use a spot of land about 75' X 30' for a garden. Daddy bean and Mommie cleared the land and plowed it up on Monday.
For our TT we would like to list thirteen vegetable's we are going to plant in the garden.
1. Tomatoes (2 different varieties)
2. Green Bell Peppers
3. Jalapenos
4. Corn
5. Green Beans
6. Onions
7. Radishes
8. Cantaloupe
9. Watermelon's
10. Cucumbers
11. Brussel Sprouts
12. Okra
13. Beets
I have a feeling that we are going to have lots and lots of fresh veggies, which everyone in the family loves. We haven't had a decent sized garden in years, it is going to be fun with the kids getting to help. Hopefull Mommie will be able to take lots of pictures of the garden and working in it.

Gardening sounds fun, and fresh veggies are good for you! You should also sneak in some catnip seeds...
Daisy is right - what about catnip? And can you plant shrimp? And if you can plant shrimp, can I come over?
We would LOVE to have that garden!!!
Fresh tomotos! YUMMMM! How exciting! Can't wait to hear how your garden grows!
Glad you moms hands are doing better. Sounds like she is retaining water after exercize for some reason. My mom's fingers swell sometimes when she runs, especially when it is warm.

Maybe some catnip????

Your garden sounds like it is going to be wonderful! Those are a lot of different vegetables. My mom says they sound yummy, especially the corn and beets.
Hmmm...the Woman has that same hand problem!!!! Swollen, ouchy, itchy, uncomfy. She thinks it is anahydrosis (sp?) which has something to do with sweat glands. It happens mostly in the spring and happens to her hands and sometimes feet. Cold water helps it feel better and aloe.

What? No Basil? No Catnip?
We are totally coming to your house this summer!!!!

i hope your mommy is doing better. Maybe she can soak them in a cold pot of water with epson salts. Mommy says that is good for swelling.
I don't know. Efurry year, Mom wants to plant a few vegables, but no one in our fambly will help.
You defnitly need catnip cuz I think it keeps mosquitoes away.
Bonnie says Mom growed pumpkins one year, but I don't beleaf it.
That sounds like a wonderful garden!! Nothing better than fresh veggies for beans.

Mom gets itchy swollen stinging hands when she clips the rose bushes. She thinks that she's allergic to some small bugs that live in the roses (like maybe aphids) ... She washes her hands and sprays them with Bactine when she's done working in the yard.
